Day 1
Nairobi to Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in the Shaba Game Reserve, Samburu
You'll embark on a thrilling 10-day safari adventure from Nairobi, starting bright and early at 6:00 AM to beat the traffic and maximize game viewing opportunities. You'll travel northeast for 5-6 hours, covering 350 kilometers of picturesque Kenyan landscapes, and passing through charming towns and villages.
You'll arrive at Sarova Shaba - Game Reserve, where you'll be welcomed with refreshing towels and drinks. You'll check in to comfortable accommodations blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings for a two-night stay.
You'll experience an afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve, guided by experts who offer insights into wildlife behavior and habitats. You'll witness species like reticulated giraffes, Gravy’s zebras, and Somali ostriches against the backdrop of stunning scenery.
You'll return to Sarova Shaba for dinner showcasing a fusion of international and local cuisines, followed by relaxation and an overnight stay amidst the tranquility of the reserve.

Day 2
Explore Samburu - Buffalo Springs National Reserve

You'll start the day with an early breakfast at Sarova Shaba, enjoying a variety of freshly prepared dishes. Then, you'll embark on a full-day game drive in Samburu, Buffalo Springs National Reserve, known for its natural springs that attract a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. You'll break for a picnic lunch. Later, you'll continue wildlife viewing in the afternoon, with opportunities to photograph wildlife against the scenic backdrop of the Ewaso Nyiro River. You'll return to Sarova Shaba in the evening for dinner and relaxation under the starlit sky.

Day 3 Samburu - Ol Pejeta Conservancy After breakfast, you'll check out from Sarova Shaba and bid farewell as you depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a drive that takes approximately 3-4 hours covering a distance of about 190 kilometers. You'll enjoy panoramic views of Mount Kenya as you journey towards the conservancy.
You'll arrive at Serena Sweetwater and check in as you wait for a delicious lunch to be served at the camp's restaurant followed by a short afternoon relaxation. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a visit to the Baraka rhino sanctuary and feed her. Ol Pejeta is home to both black and white rhinos, and the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where rescued chimps are rehabilitated. The Consernsavacy is also known for the conservation of the critically endangered Northern white rhinos.
You'll return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4
Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll enjoy breakfast at Serena Sweetwater's Tented Camp before departing for Lake Nakuru. The drive to Lake Nakuru takes approximately 4-5 hours, covering a distance of about 270 kilometers. Along the way, you'll enjoy picturesque views of the Great Rift Valley.
You'll arrive at Sarova Lion Hill, situated within Lake Nakuru National Park, and check in to your accommodation.
Lunch will be served at the camp's dining area, offering panoramic views of the park and Lake Nakuru. Later in the afternoon, you'll embark on an evening game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its dense population of flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife species. You'll spot endangered species such as the Rothschild's giraffes and the elusive leopard. You'll return to Sarova Lion Hill or dinner, followed by relaxation around the campfire under the starry sky.

Day 5
Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Lake Nakuru National Park and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey to Masai Mara takes approximately 5-6 hours, covering a distance of about 300 kilometers. You'll enjoy scenic views as you traverse through the Kenyan countryside.
You'll arrive at Zebra Plains Camp, located in the heart of Masai Mara, and check in to your tented accommodation.
Lunch will be served at the camp's dining tent, offering cuisine inspired by local flavors. In the afternoon, you'll embark on an exhilarating game drive in Masai Mara, renowned for its abundant wildlife and spectacular landscapes. Keep an eye out for the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros) as well as the annual wildebeest migration (seasonal).
You'll return to Zebra Plains Camp as the sun sets over the savannah, signaling the end of another memorable day on safari.

Day 6
Full-Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

You will have breakfast by 7:00 am EAT and head to a full-day game drive. This grants you an opportunity to spot more wildlife animals and visit the border between Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Reserve. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, or experience more wildebeest migration during the migration period between July to September. After the full-day game drive, you’ll head back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, a guided walk, and an overnight stay.
Masai Mara simply known as Mara, is named in honor of the Maasai people. Mara means "spotted" in the local Maasai language due to the many short bushy trees that dot the landscape. It is renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African bush elephants. It also hosts the great migration which is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa and one of the 10 Wonders of the World.

Day 7
Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha
Today's adventure begins with breakfast at your lodge, followed by checking out at 8:00 am EAT. Buckle up as you hit the road to Naivasha, making brief stops along the way for health breaks and to stretch your legs. Upon reaching Naivasha, you'll check in at your lodge and indulge in a delicious hot lunch. You'll take some time to unwind and relax for an hour, soaking in the serene surroundings.
In the evening, get ready for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island. Here, you'll embark on nature walks, immersing yourself in the beauty of the landscape and observing the diverse birdlife. After a mesmerizing experience, you'll return to your lodge for a delightful dinner and spend the night surrounded by the tranquility of Naivasha.

Day 8
Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park

You'll embark on the next leg of your safari journey with a scenic drive from Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park, spanning approximately 5-6 hours and offering breathtaking views of the Rift Valley and Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. Upon arrival at Kibo Safari Camp, nestled in the heart of Amboseli, you'll settle into your luxurious tented accommodation and enjoy lunch at the camp's restaurant, boasting panoramic vistas of the park and Kilimanjaro.
In the afternoon, you'll set out on an exciting game drive in Amboseli National Park, renowned for its abundant elephant herds and iconic views of Kilimanjaro. Keep your eyes spotting 4 of the Big Five namely lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo among other wildlife. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, you'll return to Kibo Safari Camp, reflecting on another day filled with wildlife encounters and stunning natural beauty.

Day 9
Explore Amboseli National Park
You'll have breakfast by 7:30 am EAT before heading for a full day game drive and try and spot more of the Amboseli wildlife (Africa's big four: elephants, lions, leopards, and buffalos), beautiful bird nature eg flamingoes and a short hike on the Amboseli observation hill. It is situated in the middle of the park giving a clear view of the entire park and a spectacular view of Africa's tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Later, you'll head for lunch at the Sopa Old campsite until 2:00 pm before embarking on a short en-route game drive back to your camp by 4:30 pm for a short rest. You'll have dinner and stay overnight waiting for the following day.

Day 10
Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

After breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Amboseli and embark on the journey back to Nairobi. The drive from Amboseli to Nairobi takes approximately 4-5 hours, covering a distance of about 230 kilometers. You'll arrive in Nairobi by midday, where you'll be transferred to your accommodation or the airport for your onward journey. This is the end of the safari adventure, with memories to last a lifetime and a deeper appreciation for Kenya's rich wildlife and natural landscapes.
